A 43-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested last week on charges of stealing his wife's car and purse.

The wife of the man reported the stolen vehicle to officers at around 5 p.m. The man had taken the vehicle without his wife's permission and driven it to a local hotel where he proceeded to drink heavily. He called his wife and told her that he had the vehicle but would not bring it back. The man's wife, along with police officers, arrived at the hotel, and the man was taken into custody.

He was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor of auto theft and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
