Fox Valley Technical College uses new crime-fighting technology

by Administrator 3. September 2010 04:58

Fox Valley Technical College's Criminal Justice Division recently received a new state of the art crime-fighting technology that they hope will reduce crime on campus and throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

The technology, called Leica Geosystems Scanstation C10, uses 3D mapping that lets police officers take pictures and measurements, and then put them in the computer to re-create a crime scene.

Law enforcement officers that have used the technology believe that it could be used in court to help jurors understand the crime scene, threat assessment, shootings, and car accidents.
