Darrell McQuay, 30, of Wisconsin Dells, was sentenced to four years in prison and five years of extended supervision following his prison sentence for contributing to the death of Reedsburg resident Jason Webber in August 2010.

McQuay was charged with first-degree reckless homicide by delivery of drugs as party to a crime and manufacture/delivery of cocaine.  Webber died from a drug overdose on August 24, 2010.  Autopsy results showed that he died from a combination of cocaine and heroin.

by Administrator 25. January 2012 08:56

Five Antigo school employees were suspended after an investigation of the marijuana distribution ring in north-central Wisconsin, and it has now moved to Merrill schools.

John Lund, Antigo High School football coach and elementary school principal, was suspended after being charged for drug crimes related to the distribution ring.

Peter Miller, retired athletic director, and substitute teacher, Anthony Crabb, both of Merill Area Public Schools, have both admitted to purchasing marijuana from the pot ring.  Miller admitted to buying pot from the distributor for 15 years.  They have not been charged, and were told by the Interim Superintendent Bruce Anderson their services are "not needed at this time."

Wausau man sentenced to 78 months for possessing crack cocaine

by Administrator 19. July 2011 02:29

A 30-year-old man from Wausau was recently sentenced to 78 months in prison after he was convicted of possessing crack cocaine. The man had plead guilty to the charge in April.

In October 2010, police officers entered the man's apartment that he shared with his girlfriend because she had been missing for several days. While searching the apartment, officers found 28 grams of crack cocaine, baggies, and a scale inside of a safe. Officers charged the man with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Because the man had previous drug and robbery convictions, a Chief U.S. District judge decided to give him a substantial sentence of 78 months in prison.
