A man from Washington Park, Illinois was recently arrested and charged with a weapons offense for possessing a firearm.
The 22-year-old man was found with firearms by police officers in early March, and he has been previously convicted for other charges. A St. Louis federal grand jury indicted the man with the unlawful possession of a firearm. An investigation into the case has also been restarted by the Illinois Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
If the man is convicted of the charges against him, he could spend ten years in prison and be ordered to pay a fine of at least $250,000.
