Madison woman charged with vehicular homicide

by Administrator 15. March 2012 07:47

A 27 year-old Madison woman has been charged with homicide by negligent driving and homicide by intoxicated driving after she hit and killed a man riding a moped. According to police, she had alcohol and morphine in her body at the time of the accident.

The fatal crash happened last October on the Beltline frontage roads. Police discovered that the female driver had been traveling on the wrong side of the road when she collided and killed the 37 year-old moped driver.

Her preliminary breath test showed her blood alcohol level was at 0.071, just under the legal limit. However, a makeup kit that contained tools to inject heroin was also found near the crash site. A passenger in her car told authorities that he or she had seen the driver inject herself with heroin.

Milwaukee woman charged with double homicide

by Administrator 24. October 2011 07:00

Annette Morales-Rodriguez, 33, of Milwaukee, was charged with two counts of first degree homicide after being accused of cutting a full-term fetus out of a woman with an Exacto knife in an attempt to steal her baby.  Morales-Rodriguez told authorities she could not get pregnant, and after fabricating a pregnancy, she panicked when it was time to have the baby.  She coerced the pregnant woman into her car by offering to drive her to the drug store.  On their way, Morales-Rodriguez told the victim she had to stop home to change her shoes.  At Morales-Rodriguez' house, the victim went to the bathroom where Morales-Rodriguez hit her in the head multiple times using a baseball hat, strangled her, and taped her mouth, hands, and feet.  She then cut out the fetus from the victims body.  According to the District Attorney, "She cut at the bikini line attempting to duplicate the process she had seen on the Discovery Channel, depicting a caesarean section birth." She then called paramedics claiming that she had given birth to a stillborn in the shower.  Paramedics pronounced the child dead at the scene and took Morales-Rodriguez to the hospital.  After concluding she was not the mother of the child, authorities returned to the home to find the victim's dead body in the basement.  Morales-Rodriguez is held on $1 million bond, and if convicted, will face life in prison.

Two charged with reckless homicide

by Administrator 9. September 2011 08:03

A Wisconsin woman and her son have been charged with first degree reckless homicide and hiding a corpse after they refused to help the woman's 70 year-old sister after she fell in their home. The woman's sister died two days later, and then the two went out for pizza. When they came back, they hid her body in the basement and then in the garage, where police found her remains three months later.

When asked why they didn't call for help or have the body properly removed from their house, the woman's sister replied that she "had other things to do that day." Her son says that his aunt was able to talk after she fell, but he still refused to do anything for her and reportedly told her to "shut up" so the neighbors wouldn't hear her.
