Three people from Wisconsin were recently charged with stealing the identities of soldiers who died in Iraq. The three people charged with this crime allegedly wrote bad checks with their false identities.

One man involved in the identity theft was convicted this week of forging and misappropriating a false identity. The man was sentenced to at least two years behind bars and several more years of supervision. He had pled no contest to the charges.

The other two people involved are currently awaiting trials, which will be held in April and July.
