Number of Child Pornography Cases Increase in Northeast WI

by Administrator 5. January 2011 03:23
The Outgamie Sheriff's office investigated 25 child pornography cases in 2010, and the WI Department of Justice has collected 15,000 in-state email addresses linked to child porn.

In recent years, the amount of illegal material has increased as some young people post nude pictures of themselves on the internet or send these pictures to their friends through email or phone messaging. If another person takes these photos and posts them elsewhere, he or she can be charged with sexual assault or possession of child pornography.

If you or someone you know has been charged with the possession or distribution of child pornography, the Appleton child pornography lawyers of Kohler, Hart & Priebe can help. Contact us at 414-271-9595 to learn more.

by Administrator 15. December 2010 02:32
A 25-year-old Kimberly man has pleaded not  guity to two charges of the intent of having sex with a child.

The man was one of four who were arrested in October by Appleton police with the assistance of an internet watchdog group. Members of the group engaged in chatroom conversations with the men while posing as girls aged 13 to 15. The group then handed police the identification information of 72 men who appeared serious about pursuing sexual encounters with young girls.
