Wisconsin strengthens drunk driving laws

by Administrator 31. August 2009 04:20

Across the nation many states are adopting stricter drunken driving laws. However, in Wisconsin, many lawmakers believe that Wisconsin drunken driving standars will  stay lower than most other states.

Currently in the Wisconsin legislature, congressmen are likely to adopt laws that would require first-time offenders to use interlock devices and make four-time drunken offenses a felony. These laws would beef up drunken driving laws but will still keep them below national averages.

In most other states, interlock devices are used for anyone caught driving with a BAC above 8.0 percent. Also, most other states consider a third drunken driving offense a felony.

Charges Expected to Be Filed Against Racine Man

by Administrator 6. May 2009 05:05

Police are expected to file charges against a man that was involved in a police chase.  The chase resulted in an innocent bystander who was driving on the same road to be killed by the man fleeing authorities.

According to reports,  a police officer attempted to pull the man over for speeding.  The man then sped up and attempted to flee police.   While fleeing, the man crashed into another vehicle, killing the driver.  The man then fled to his girl-friend's house, where he was later arrested by police.

The man was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and intoxication resulting in a homicide and other charges will likely be filed. The man could be looking at spending many years in prison if convicted on all possible charges.
