A cocaine trafficker in Milwaukee has been sentenced to more than 30 years in prison.  The man was considered very large scale, and made purchases of items such as a $100,000 watch.  The man was also known to purchase expensive jewelry and fancy cars regularly. 

The man operated his drug business utilizing a barber shop and his wife's day care.  When the man was arrested at his home, agents found over $200,000 in cash, drugs, and guns. 

The man would have had a lighter sentence, but his past criminal record brought more stringent charges.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is accusing an Appleton-area investor of misleading clients.  The investor has been accused of misleading clients into making risky investments without their knowledge.  The amount of money that has been lost in this case has not been publicly stated by the SEC, but it is estimated that the number could be in the several millions of dollars.  It has also been claimed that the investor took over a million dollars in kick-backs in relation to investing client money in a life insurance policy without their knowledge. 

The investor has claimed no wrong doing in this situation. The investor has claimed that he is completely cooperating with the SEC in this matter.

Police investigators have stated that someone will likely face charges in a Highway 41 accident that has claimed the life of one individual.  The accidents occurred on Highway 41 outside of Little Chute.

A Virginia man was charged last week for his role in a “Ponzi” pyramid scheme that authorities say resulted in millions of dollars lost for those who invested with him.

Claiming impressive annual return rates of up to 22 percent, John Donnelly of Albermarle County had in fact conducted virtually no actual trading since 2002, according to court documents. Instead, Donnelly is alleged to have been paying off false dividends to older investors with money from his newer clients to maintain a legitimate front.

The recent economic crisis has uncovered dozen of similar cases, including the widely-publicized downfall of Wall Street trader Bernard Madoff, as investors attempt to withdraw their money in large amounts.
