Kimberly man arrested for sexual assault at a Walmart

A Kimberly man was arrested on Monday for assaulting a child at the Appleton Walmart, according to the Appleton Police Department.

The man was said to be following women and children around the store, and he touched the rear end of a young girl.  The man was followed to his car by a witness, and they reported his license plate to the police. He was then stopped on Calumet Street where he was arrested.  He could face charges of first degree sexual assault of a child.

Intoxicated patient punches nurse

An intoxicated Appleton man had been transported to Appleton Medical Center by ambulance for treatment for his cut finger when he allegedly punched the nurse who was treating him in the face.

The nurse was treated for a cut and for loose teeth but did not need to be admitted to the hospital. Police say that the attack occurred while the nurse was treating the man's finger and was completely unexpected. 

The 47-year-old man was sent to Outagamie Country Jail, held on charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and felony substantial battery.
