Amish Man Pleads No Contest to Sex Crimes

by Administrator 25. February 2011 03:07

An Amish man recently plead no contest to several sex crimes he committed in Missouri and Wisconsin over at least a five year period. The man has already been sentenced to fourteen years in a Missouri prison for the crimes that occured there. He is still awaiting trial in Wisconsin and is being held in a Wisconsin jail without bail.

The twenty-six year-old man, who was adopted as a baby into the Amish community, admitted to statutory rape, sodomy, and sexual activity involving a child. When he is sentenced in Wisconsin, he will serve the time consecutively with the Missouri sentencing. In exchange for pleading no contest, the man's fourteen year sentence was reduced from a thirty-two year sentence after the victims' families were consulted.
