A 43-year-old man was charged Thursday in Outagamie County Court with second-degree sexual assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.
Appleton police report that they were called to a house around 1:30 AM after the woman who lived there called in a disturbance. Officers found that the door had been kicked in.
While interviewing the caller, police observed that she was in discomfort.
When asked, she admitted that the man had forced her to have sex the night before. The man says it was consensual.
If convicted, he faces a nine-month prison sentence and a $10,000 fine for property damage.
