Former Al Capone hideout to be sold next month

by Administrator 9. September 2009 04:35

A former Wisconsin lodge once used as a hideout for Al Capone will be auctioned next month at the Sawyer County courthouse. The lodge's area includes 407 acres with a 37-acre private lake, an 8-car garage and a guard tower.

The foreclosure sale will be set for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 8. The Wisconsin bank in charge of the foreclosure sale, Chippewa Valley Bank, is trying to play up the notorious criminal's activities to build hype for the sale.
