Police have identified four suspects in the armed robbery of a Burger King in Buchanan last Saturday by using a receipt that the robbers threw out of the window of the getaway car.

The 24-year-old woman and 37, 27, and 20-year-old men were each charged with a count of armed robbery and six charges of theft last Wednesday.

According to employees at the Burger King, three men apprehended them as they were taking a smoke break, holding guns to their heads and ordering them to empty their pockets. The men then demanded the keys to the manager's office. Once inside the office, they stole about $1,500.

The woman, who was a former employee at the Burger King and knew that the safe in the manager's office was defective, was the getaway driver. She was charged as an equal conspirator in the crime.

Police found a hooded sweatshirt, shoes, bandanas, and other items along Creekview Lane that matched to the clothing worn by the robbers. The keys in the sweatshirt were those stolen from the Burger King. Police also found a receipt from an Appleton auto parts store that had the woman's name on it.
