Four people were recently arrested in Illinois after police officers found $7,200 worth of cannabis plants being grown in a house that the four people were sharing.

An investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Fugitive Apprehension Unit began when police arrested one of the men on charges of theft. They obtained a search warrant for his home and found the cannabis plants being grown in the basement. Police also found heroin, drug paraphernilia, and small amounts of cocaine while searching the house.

All four people were charged with felony drug charges, including the unlawful production of cannabis plants and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance. They will all be going to trial in late July.
