Scott Schumacher, 30, of Kimberly, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Friday after sexually assaulting a woman at a convenience store.

Schumacher sexually assaulted a woman at the Kwik Trip on Calumet Street in Appleton last May.  According to authorities, Schumacher was found after the incident in Buchanan with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The sentencing was made at Outagamie County court.

This was not the first crime Schumacher has committed, and police say he attempted to kidnap a woman in a separate incident.
