Annette Morales-Rodriguez, 33, of Milwaukee, was charged with two counts of first degree homicide after being accused of cutting a full-term fetus out of a woman with an Exacto knife in an attempt to steal her baby.  Morales-Rodriguez told authorities she could not get pregnant, and after fabricating a pregnancy, she panicked when it was time to have the baby.  She coerced the pregnant woman into her car by offering to drive her to the drug store.  On their way, Morales-Rodriguez told the victim she had to stop home to change her shoes.  At Morales-Rodriguez' house, the victim went to the bathroom where Morales-Rodriguez hit her in the head multiple times using a baseball hat, strangled her, and taped her mouth, hands, and feet.  She then cut out the fetus from the victims body.  According to the District Attorney, "She cut at the bikini line attempting to duplicate the process she had seen on the Discovery Channel, depicting a caesarean section birth." She then called paramedics claiming that she had given birth to a stillborn in the shower.  Paramedics pronounced the child dead at the scene and took Morales-Rodriguez to the hospital.  After concluding she was not the mother of the child, authorities returned to the home to find the victim's dead body in the basement.  Morales-Rodriguez is held on $1 million bond, and if convicted, will face life in prison.
