Mondovi man hits Christmas parade float while driving drunk

On Saturday night in Mondovi, a 52 year old man crashed his vehicle into a Christmas parade float with children riding on it.

Buffalo County authorities accused the man of drunk driving and found that this was his seventh OWI offense. Fortunately, no one involved in the incident was injured.  According to police, the drunk driver initially ran away from the scene, but a witness grabbed him and held him until authorities arrived.

The man will be most likely be charged with seven-time drunk driving offense and hit-and-run.
