More Murders in Wisconsin

by Administrator 19. June 2008 08:06

During the 2007 year, Wisconsin reportedly saw 11% more murders than the year before. Some of these murders were also due to two mass shootings that happened in the 2007 year. Official police statistics showed that there were 183 homicides in 2007 which was an increase from the previous year.

One of the mass shootings was when a Deputy Sheriff killed his off and on girlfriend as well as the 5 others who happened to be at the party that evening. This was the first mass murder of its kind in a very long time. Later on that year, another mass murder happened with a father killing his infant twins as well as the mother of the children, her sister, and a friend that happened to be visiting at the time of the incident. These two mass murder incidents changed many people’s minds about the safety of the overall Wisconsin area.

The report also found that the rates of other types of crime had also increased over the 2007 year. Police say that they are going to crack down during the 2008 year to help get their numbers back where they were a few years ago.
