Parolees Challenge Condition X

by Administrator 13. November 2008 11:11
Texas - Criminals and advocates are calling attention to Condition X, a set of regulations that determines the ins and outs of the lives of many criminals, mostly paroled sex offenders. Condition X determines whether they can visit a school or attend church; whether they can live with their families or in an apartment with a swimming pool; whether they can access the Internet, work at a convenience store, even whom they can date and marry. Several offenders are challenging the restrictions, claiming that they are most often imposed without fair hearing, and treat low-level offenders and violent predators alike. Attorney Bill Habern has several victories to claim in court against how Condition X is imposed.  According to the Texas lawyer, he is trying to defend sex offenders but trying to protect the Constitution. If you are facing criminal charges for sexual assault or another related crime, you need the support a lawyer who will not only fight for your legal rights, but the future of your reputation, your family, and your career opportunities as well.  Contact the Appleton criminal lawyer Kohler, Hart, & Priebe at 920.831.8000 today.
