Wisconsin doctor imprisoned for prostitution ring in AZ

by Administrator 3. August 2011 06:43

A doctor licensed in diagnostic radiology in Wisconsin has been ordered by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board to surrender his license following his imprisonment for working a prostitution ring. The multi-million dollar prostitution ring, called "Desert Divas," was in Phoenix and later spread to Albuquerque. Marketed as an "escort service," the ring ran five websites the authorities took down in 2008. The 46 year-old man used to write a blog for Desert Divas, ranking and rating the women.

He was sentenced in 2010 to three years in jail for money laundering and conspiracy to promote prostitution but is expected to be released this November. Investigators say he was responsible for hiring and firing prostitutes.
