Witness Lied in Murder Case

by Administrator 9. July 2008 03:07

Recently there has been a murder trial going on in Madison, Wisconsin on a conviction of Douglas Plude. Supposedly, the man poisoned his wife with a migraine drug and then proceeded to drown her in their bathroom toilet.

During the case, the details were presented that he murdered his wife Genell in October of 1999. Plude was officially charged with first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison. He has currently been serving his life in prison when some new evidence arrived.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has officially overthrown the verdict because of the lack of credentials of one of the main witnesses that testified for the prosecution at the trial. Dr. Saami Shaibani lied under oath during the time when he was testifying. He misrepresented his credentials which has now forced the Wisconsin Supreme Court to bring the trial back in to completely redo the entire trial. This also entitles Plude to hire a new Milwaukee criminal homicide defense attorney for this new trial.
